I have a 19month old daughter and a 5wk old son and really think my daughter is ready for potty training. She is forever taking her nappy off when she's had a wee and she grabs at her crotch when she is doing one. She doesn't talk much but fully understands everything I say to her. The problem is I haven't got the first clue where to start and don't want to muck it up as I know it'll put her off. Any tips please?xxx

sounds like she is hun - keep a potty in the room where she is and leave her nappy off. Even if she goes on the floor sit her on the potty and say well done for sitting on your potty! She will learn thats where wee wee goes! If she goes on the floor dont make a fuss, just say something like oh dear thats not where it goes, we'll do it in the potty next time. It may take a while but do not force her if you think she is loosing interest it really does have to be something that comes from your child otherwise it will turn into a battle! Good luck!!! xx
