Subject : How do you all feel?

Hi Feb mummies, just thought i would ask how you all are. I was doing just fine until a few weeks ago every thing was going well and I was adapting really well to having the three children. The like a click of a finger every thing has changed i feel anxious all of the time i even have panic attacks at certain times and cannot face doing lots of the normal things that i used to like taking my lo swimming and to music classes. The Doctor has given me medication for IBS caused by the anxiety and anti depressants for the post natal depression. I feel completely hopeless at times and really do not know what to do with myself. I had PND (not like this though) with my first baby and thought i had escaped it this time!!
Do any of you other ladies feel the same?
I haven't posted this in the PND forum as its always so quiet.

Hi,
Sorry to hear that you are not feeling great. It is very good though that you have been to the Dr and that you are talking about it - very good first steps. I am doing well so far though do have the odd wobble when I can't settle Samuel sometimes. My sister had PND with her 2nd child so know a little bit about it.
Just take each day at a time and remember that you are a fab mummy.

Hi honey

Sorry to hear you're feeling a little low ;0(

I havefelt a little low, due to being pg again so soon but I'm getting there (think its just so much to take in so quickly!) I've suffered badly with depression previously (due to an eating disorder) so I can understand some of how you're feeling.

I'm glad you've seen your doctor and it seems s/he's got you sorted with meds, which is good.

As Natasha has said, take each day as it comes and I'm sure soon enough things will slot back into place again.

Try to keep active, as much as you may not like it at the moment, getting out and about does help LOTS! Especially when the sun is out ;0)

If you want to chat, I'm happy to have a natter with you. I'm also happy for you to have my private email address, should you wish, jusgt let me know xxx

Hi hun,

I posted on the pnd forum a while ago and you replied to me (and i've just noticed that you asked how i was and i never replied- sorry)

i've been feeling pretty crap too- i'm having panic attacks quite often, strugglnig to eat, i struggle with the simplest of things ect. I've been to the Drs too, i've been put on anti depressants also. My HV wants to organise some cbt counselling too.

As everyone says (and everyone tells me) take one day at a time. If you need to take let me know and we can sort emails/msn/fb ect out.

xxx

No need to thank me ;0)
I know how hard it can be to do the day - to - day things when you're low. I've been eating properly for two years now but still have check ups with my psychiatrist to ensure I'm still on the 'straight and narrow'.

Try to keep 'open' about your feelings and don't bottle things up; however, daft you believe an issue may be.... I used to get soooo wound up over things that looking back now seem little, but at the time they appeared big, but once you talk them through, they soon sort themselves out ;0)

Take care ladies, sending you a big hug xx

Hi hun,

Just repeating what the other girls have said really, but wanted to show some support.

I also suffered with depression & anxiety attacks early last year & I have found I've been struggling a bit with being a mummy too.
I'm also on FB so if you want another one of us to talk to then let me know. I'm always talking to Bumbelina on FB & it really makes me smile Happy

xx
