Defrosting home made food...
Hello all,
I have just made my first batch of potato, spinach and carrot mixed together with some formula milk. I want to freeze as I have made several portions.. How do I defrost? Is it just a case of leaving it out in morning ready for his lunch time/dinner feed?
Dill has just turned 6 months and he has been having solids for 5 weeks, now on 3 meals a day (10 + teaspoons) which he has taken to really well, also having four 8 ounce bottles (doesnt always drain his middle 2 feeds) When do I start introducing texture? He has been having Ella's kitchen - which is fruit and veg but completely smooth.
Sorry if this has already been discussed - but I have about 10 mins to get this post on here before my little man wakes up!
thanks in advance

Hi Claire
I just get them out when I need them and microwave for just under 2 minutes (til steaming) then keep stirring until they cool down. You can leave out too. I've started to add texture this week and Sam is 7 months today. My health visitor said not to leave it too long as they get too used to puréed food.
Hope that helps.

l always take food out of freezer night before. l try not to thaw in micro from frozen cos you have to make sure its steaming hot then cool it down.
