Bully baby?
This may sound a bit odd but Ruby is so strong especially in her legs that she really hurts me, when i change her bum(change mat on floor) she gets excited and kicks out so hard-my legs are covered in bruises-they really hurt(i know i sound a wimp). i know she doesnt understand but when i hold and she kicks she bruises my tummy and when she thrashes about playing i can end up with a nose bleed. . . .
help?x

i know how you feel, grace has always been a very strong baby. when i wash her hair she kicks me in the tummy so hard and sends herself flying back. she also thrashes her arms about and can give a good right hook.
dont really know there is anything we can do as they are too young to understand, maybe invest in some kickboxing pads!!
xx

Charlotte is like this too. She used to be really laid back but when she turned 6 months she became really strong willed. My hv & sister have commented on how strong willed she is. I'm having real trouble changing her & dressing her now. She kicks and complains then sometimes gets really distressed. She has kicked me in the throat numerous times! And she just wants to crawl off when changing her nappy which can get messy when there is a very dirty one (and there are lots of them due to teething). I'm hoping it's a phase....sorry not been much help. I think it's an independent streak they must have so I try to think of it in a positive light!

oh yes chloe is the same - she is really strong and hurts me n hubby all the time but she doesn't know what she is doing so we let her off. she pulls hair so strongly it really hurts, she kicks out when being changed, can grab your face so hard it bruises and is now trying to bite me everytime she can get near my face and when she does boy do you know about it!!
i think its a phase most go through but there isn't a lot you can do about it until they can understand the word 'no'!!

Bully baby?
I was going to post about this yesterday as Lily is so rough. She does the same thing on her change mat as Ruby and it really hurts. She also slaps my boobs and pinches really hard. She is throwing her toys too now, really aggresively and am worried she will end up chucking one at TV- my OH would not be happy. She had some lovely muscial toys for Christmas such as the cookie jar with shapes but she is strong enough to pick it up and fling it across the room I am tempted to take it off her so she can't do it but thats just mean Mummy!
In the mornings when OH is getting ready for work he brings Lily into our bed as she is normally awake but she kicks me so hard I am getting bruises too. She doesn't really do it to OH- although she has taken to ripping his chest hair out- ouch!
I keep saying to her "no Lily that hurts Mummy" and I pull a sad face and OK she doesn't understand but hopefully she will learn! You are definately not a wimp Queen Bee. xxx

Nym is the same way she is unusually strong and on more than a few occasions kicked me so hard during a nappy change that I ended up in tears after my abdominal hernia repair surgery. It's like she just has to keep her little legs moving and they are such strong legs.

Alfie is just the same and like you say has no idea how strong he is. Took him out to meet a friend this afternoon and he was all over her wriggling, kicking. Even tried to eat her hair at one point-???? Love him to pieces but changing his bum is getting harder!
