Need positivity!

It has just very suddenly dawned on me how very very scared i am. Ive been holding it in but now im sitting in floods of tears as i cannot sleep. Every forum i have been on here today seems to have sad news and I'm terrified that Im going to be another one who comes back on and has to give more bad news. I know Ive got to shake this off and try and be as positive as possible but I cant and as the days go by im constantly thinking what if!!! Is there anyone out there who can give me a slap and some possitivity? Will go to bed again now and try and sleep but pain has come back and im now convinced its stress related!!!! Take care alll

Hi Karen,

Just picked up on your post. You are natureally going to feel this way - I am dreading the next BFP to be honest. However, think of how many babies come into the world and of how many women go full term - there are thousands and thousands of them (perhaps even millions but I am not up to date on my stats!).

Just looked at askamum.com and it says

"Since 2001, the number of live births in England has increased by almost 71,000 (12.5%), and is now at a 26-year high. In 2006, 635,679 babies were born." That is A LOT of mums going full term.

If I could have my time around again I wish that I hadn't been so "over the moon". If I had been more cautious and "negative" perhaps it wouldn't have been so diffcult to deal with when it happened. Who knows.

Anyway, take each day and week as it comes. Keep busy - get that Christmas tree up, start baking the mince pies and before you know it you will having the next scan.

C.xx

hello flower, read your post and can only say it's not surprising you are very scared, so firstly don't beat yourself up (or ask for anyone else to beat you up either!) about worrying, it will only make you worry and stress more! But you must try to focus on the positive, easier said than done I know, but like Shimmsie says, the statistics are all in your favour, your body has successfully carried babies to term before and you are a wonderful mum! I wish there was something more I could say to take the worries away, but I do think it's very theraputic to come on here and voice how you feel every now and then, you gotta let it out somewhere and any release of stress is good for you. Sending huge hugs, sledge loads of PMA and sacks of the stickiest baby dust I can find xxx
