My DS will be 17 months when baby 2 comes along just after Easter. I wanted two close together as I will be 33 in a month! It is getting to be hard work tho, as Josh started walking at 10 months, so he now VERY mobile!

My second is due in March and my lo will be 2 and 4 months.

She adores babies and contantly sticks her head in other peoples buggies when we are out so i'm hoping she's gonna be a little mummy's helper.

i agree with the others though i'm shattered being pregnant, working and running round after her.

my friend had her second when her son was 3 and i think the older one is a little less demarding on you by that age.

Thanks all, my daughter started walkin at 10months too and shes way ahead in her intelligence to so i feel her baby days went to quickly but she loves babies to she has her dolly and feeds and changes her! Im torn wether to wait till shes at school tho as i love it just being me and her in the day and just doing things together, and wen she starts i will have a tough time!

Age gaps?

hi ladies,
i have just had No.2. my little boy was 2 @ the start of oct & my baby boy was born @ the end of oct. it was hard @ the start & end of pregnancy as you can imagine with the morning sickness + 16/17 month old, then the tiredness with a 2yr old.
i did have moments during pregnancy thinking how much id miss the time i spend with my toddler just me& him. i was a little worried how he would cope having to share me.............but he has been amazing, he stayed with my parents over night & during the next day (very long labour) the moment he met his brother he loved him.
we are now 5weeks on & its still the same, we have to remind him that he is a little too heavy to lay on the baby. the novelty certainly hasnt worn off, friday night i had to explain to my toddler thast the baby is too little to sleep in his bed, much to his disgust!! he was devastated !!!
. dont get me wrong its hard work, & the sickness bug/coughs/colds have made it far worse. but it is well worth it!!!! :D

bunty1975 that must be hard!
My lo will be 18 months when my second baby is born in a few months. I have also found it hard being pregnant with my little toddler to look after and realise it will be hard work when baby comes too. But also hopefully they will be close and it's nice to know I have my family complete..no more babies after this..lol!x

Age gaps?

hi girls. my daughter is 3 in Jan and Ive just found out Im 7 weeks pg. We have been ttc for a year so I did want less of a gap but really its worked out for the best as I have enjoyed my daughters first 3 yrs just the 2 of us. And she'll be starting pre school in Jan so Ill get a few hours to myself. The baby is due end of July so we'll get time in the summer to spend all together before she starts nursery in sep 09. xxxxx
