we are about one hour flight away so no idea what that is in miles....but its far!!!!
Sadly, due to other commitments we had to turn down our invitation...ha!! I wish!!!!!!!

We were at the rugby club today and a team were visiting from Dubai. A friend of ours Sean lives on the palms and WENT TO BED!!!1 He did not see them but heard them and was complaining it kept him awake. People would have paid for his view!!! Mad man!! He was playing rugby today and had a 5am flight. Still!!!

The thing is though I think it is actually really bad taste. The world is heading into a recession, people have lost their savings and yet, Dubai host a tack fest to rub peoples nose in how much money these Arabs have. I mean how much would Kylie alone have cost??? Its a mad world. I not been to Dubai for a while but its so huge. Def worth a visit though. Soon Dubai land will open and god only knows what the opening for that will be like.
We went for tea once at the Burj. Thats the 7 star hotel. Robbie Williams was playing in Dubai (saw him and he was fab) and rumours were he was staying there. Saw Coleen and Wayne (my claim to fame.ha ha) but no Robbie. He was staying at the Fairmont apparntly.
Dubai is just like a posher Blackpool. Really it is.

BTW the Sheik who is suing Micheal Jackson lives here in Bahrain...saw Micheal and his entourage go shopping here years ago. He was here for about 7 months...caused mayhem! Also, a few nights ago Les Ferdinand came to watch the England match at our local club. He was really nice....and I mean really nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
