I picked up a leafet today at the hospital and you can rent them for £29.50 it is delivered at 37 weeks and you get 6 weeks rental.
Just wondered f anyone had any experience with using one??

i take it the leaflet was advertising machines for rent from the hospital??

It's worth checking out ebay as well, we picked one up for £30, so when you add p&p it was just a little more than you would pay to rent one. I haven't tried it out yet but have heard good things about them, my friend used one in the early stages and found it really helpful.

I bought one from boots awhile back, it was £45, BUT I got £15 back in point and free p&p, so thats £15 to spend on nappies, wipes, dummies, and I think I got some other bits too, plus I can sell it on ebay after to get some more money back on it!

My sister got a Boots one from ebay. Some of the pads had never been used and still in sealed packs but you can buy replacemet pads from Boots which she also did. I have borrowed it for my pg and I have been practicing with it a few times this last week or so when I've had a bit of back ache. It seems really good.

I've rented one from Boots. It's £29.99 for 4 weeks and if you go overdue you get another 2 weeks rental free of charge. It's delivered when your 37 weeks pregnant - mine came this week, very exciting. My sister used one during her second labour and said it was amazing. You have to start using it as soon as you realise you're having contractions to get the maximum benefit from it, apparently! I guess your body releases jmore of the pain-blocking hormones the earlier you start??
