Survived my first week
Just wanted to say yay, I did it I survived my first week back at work. It was hard esp with hubby away Thurs til Mon, Oakley being a bit under the weather at the beginning of the week and I came on on Mon too. Have managed to confine all tears to the evening and haven't broke down in a jibbering mess at work, just at home a couple of times to hubby (and he was the cause of one of them!) Lo is fine when I've left him in the mornings seems happy with the attention from Nanny/childminder but is very clingy in the evenings and only wants me won't really go to anyone else. Slept through Sun night, but not Mon, Tues or Wed slept through til 5.45 this morning so it's hard, sleep dep is a killer. But I just keep thinking of the pay cheque at the end of the month....ohhh and I love being back in the classroom even if the mat cover had no classroom management skills and the kids are running wild (which soooo is not my style I have rules rules rules - all done in a fun way you understand!)
So now I have a heavenly weekend, 2 whole days off til I have to do it again! - ekk!

Well done! i was supposed to go back this week to, but i quit instead! i was crying at the thought of leaving Harry before he did his settling in days at nursery, when he was there though he didnt bat an eyelid when i left so i was much better and all prepared to start work again! nevermind...funny how things never go to plan for me...
I (was) a nursery nurse for 3-4 year olds and from what i gather they've all regressed to a pack of wild animals again to lol, so i've had a lucky escape!
Well good luck getting your lot back into shape! i'm sure they've missed those rules rules rules! x

i'm due back 27th August if i get job back....but i have just sent off for a different job - its a total random job that i prob have no chance of getting and when i get proper job description will prob not be as it reads but anyway ill tell you what it is as not telling friends etc as prob wont come to anything...
it's a part time photographer but full training given, to work for a company that do the school photos so get paid for 12 months but dont work holidays which long term will be fab! it said company car - even better as have one at mo and worrying about finding money to buy one when hand it back... the thing is it doesn't day what hours or days or pay... so im thinking the part time thing may mean because your not working every day due to only in term time then id have to work mon- fri.........which isn't too good but i'll wait and see!!!
at the mo it may be that i get work sorted but i feel like i need another option.,.............
god our threads will slow down dramatically when we are all back at work............hope everyone stays on here though as mega appreciate all your advice!!!
xx

I'm due to go back 13th August but not goin back till beginning Sept as am looking after my little sister over Summer hols for my mum.
Am also looking for a new job tho so that may all change if I find something sooner.
Not looking forward to going back as I hated my job and there is a complete new lot of staff there since I left so I won't know anyone either.

Thanks ladies def shock to the system Suz. Only another 2 weeks and half a day to go! And yes money money money is what I keep thinking of.
Ali - it's hard to have fun when your year 2's which you left with good manners don't even remember how to line up! And you are searching for everything that mat cover has lost, ohhh and finding all sorts of crap that she should have tidied or taken with her.
Em - you don't need to go back for a week anymore. I guess it's a bit like any other job people take holiday before or at the end of mat leave it's just teachers don't get to choose when that is.
I can actually get you ladies at work which I'm v surprised at any website with a chatroom use to be 'access denied' even if you weren't going on to that bit. So have read a few posted at lunch time as the marking is very little now it's end of term. But don't post because I don't want there being any trace of the frank and sometimes rude things I put on here!

Oh naughty internet at your school! I know mine will be denied, ours is so tight it's untrue!
No Em, I'm lucky with the hols. Triple checked tho, they've botched at County once b4 so didn't want to risk that!
