Rant about MEN!
Are all men this bloody useless!!??
I had to rush out after lunch, cos I had a baby group at 1pm, which we have to book for so I had to go. So I left Max's high chair up, and had to leave the mess!
OH was still here, he didn't have to start work till 2. I rushed out at ten to 1, so OH had at least half an hour here. I just got back and guess what?? Everything is still a mess! What a surprise!
I thought he's at least put the dirty dishes in the sink, but oh no!! They were still on the table. Max's half eaten sandwich still on his high chair.
I mean, he just thinks I have nothing else to do!! He's so thoughtless. Anyway, maybe all men are like that.
I asked him once if he was a chauvinist, or just lazy!
Its not much to ask, though! Is it? I feel like I'm on my own here

Mine OH's the same! Even things like putting the oil away when he's cooking, or socks in the wash basket. He'll leave them on the floor RIGHT NEXT TO IT but can't seem to manage that extra inch or so!
I think he realises that if he leaves something for long enough, it'll put itself away!

I think they actually don't see what needs doing. I had to pop out last night to drop something to a friend and there was a basket load of clean, dry washing that needed folding up to put away on the sofa. It was still there when I got in even though oh was sitting watching tv and could have been doing so I let out a little sigh and started to fold straight away to which his grumpy response came 'well you didn't tell me there were any jobs to do!' My swift response (which I am still v proud of as I never think of things at the right time) was 'well you never tell me there are any jobs to be done but suprisingly we still all have clean dry clothes and food to eat and a clean bathroom and house and ooooo shall I carry on' - his muted response to that was ...'well yeah ok I suppose'
TOO BLOODY RIGHT HE SUPPOSES - It happens all the frigging time and I just wish I wasn't running around like a loon 24/7 even when he is home to 'help' GGGGGGGGGRRRR!

ben is usually not too bad but he's been CRAP the last few days. the other night for example i decided to brave the mountain of ironing hiding away in my airing cupboard, i hadnt done it in weeks apart from ironing as i went, and it took me two friggin hours to do it all. in the mean time ben sat on the computer doing bot all. i then came through and said "please can you do something useful before bed, there are dishes need doing" so off he went.... and i climbed into bed... 5mins later he came back and i said "that was quick", only to be told "oh i just rinsed them a bit and put them on the bench" so i had to bloody do them 2moro. today ben came home early from work at 5, and i was due home at 6.30... gets home and the oven timer goes off, i though ooo lovely he's cooked my tea... NO, just tea for himself. he's lucky i didnt kill him! selfish pratt. lol

Its bad training or no training at all from their mothers maybe? Surely a man learns to pick up his socks and put them in the linen bin as a boy? x

Ive started MAKING oh do stuff round the house. Ive realised if you treat them like they're children and spell out exactly what needs doing and exactly how to do it, they are quite responsive! xx

My OH is normally quite good, but has his moment - sure he's getting worse!! He leaves things everywhere, so I decided I won't touch it (can't remember what it was now), and see how long it takes for him to move it - after 3 weeks I gave up!! I agree easier just to treat them like a child!!

oh god yes i can admit he does all this.
Bought a dishwasher because i said if i was doing all the cooking he does all the washing up - so he now leaves everything by the sink for me to load into the dishwasher.
doesnt realise i get up the same time as he does and work all day, as he does, but then actually go out to work until half ten five nights a week unlike him who stops when Ollie goes to bed at 7.15.......
he will fold up the dry washing, and put his away but leave mine on the bed, and ollies on the bed (he knows exactly where everything goes)
if we call in the pub for a drink, he goes off and plays pool so i still have to look after ollie and the dog (he gets time to go to the pub on his own now to play pool......)
this morning i got a lie in, for the first time in about a month. But when i got up i still had to make breakfast for ollie, dress him, change his nappy, hoover, get showered, clean the bathroom, and pick my sister up from the train station.
*sigh*
there is a reason we love them tho.
On the whole hubby is a wonderful father and hubby, he just doesnt think sometimes and doesnt notice whats under his nose. But he knows he doesnt which is a start!

I thought my dh was brill!
For the first couple of weeks he was fan"bloody"tastic! He was soooo helpful, washing, cooking, night feeds etc! Then "bang" he has gone back to the way he was before!
OK I was getting a bit bored - him telling me I should rest all the time blah blah blah! But now - he is back at work and to make matters worse, has MAN-FLU! Therefore, he is sleeping in my sons room, leaving me to do bloody everything! Am now sharing a bed for a few days with my fidgeting 7 year old, whilst doing all feeds, nappy changes, entertaining my 7 yr old, cooking, cleaning, decorating etc etc! Talk about shock to the system! His argument - he doesnt want to pass it to any of us. I wonder what would happen if I did catch it? Would anything get done????

You want bad?
My oh does think little fairies put the plates in the dishwasher if he leaves them on the unit on top of it. The same little critters also take the teabags out of the sink he chucked there when he made himself a cup of tea. His socks are under the impression that they live on a chair in the living room together with his jeans and his shoes don't want to be parted from them and have of course to be left by the side of that chair (or anywhere in the front room for that matter). Should he feed lo in her highchair it will stay there full of food left overs together witht he dirty bib and any footbowls, yoghurt pots etc.
Our bathroom is of course self cleaning, such a marvel of modern science. He once managed to pee on the floor next to the toilet and when I asked him to wipe it up he said 'oh that must be water that leaked from the toilet' - yeah right!
I keep the house tidy apart from his 'den'. I refuse to do it, it's horrible! At the last count he had 17 dirty mugs in there together with a wide variety of pizza boxes, sweet wrappers, coke bottles, you name it, it's in there. Funnily enough he'll have to tidy it this weekend as my mum is coming to stay and the spare bed is in there. So I ask him to tidy it and he said 'you can help me' - haha I don't think so, I don't see you helping me with any other cleaning.
Oh and what do you think his excuse is for not helping with anything else? 'I mow the lawn'.......

OMG! I'd definitely make him clean it! Well, I just wouldn't do it.
I don't know how you get them to do stuff though? Marcus is so completely crap. We moved house when I was about 5 months pregnant, and I'd been at work all day on Saturday while he was supposed to be bringing the boxes and stuff downstairs.
When I got home at 5 guess what?? He was laying on the sofa playing his ps2! And nothing had been done. So I asked him and asked him. In the end I had to carry a couple of suitcases and some boxes downstairs, because we had to go and he just laid there and watched me struggle. I thought what a selfish prat.
So, if he didn't get off his backside and help his pregnant girlfriend, how can I get him to do anything?? He's so totally obtuse and remarkably lazy, I don't know how I can change that?

I have to say my Husband is actually quite good. He does clear up after himself. The only thing that annoys me an odd time is when he leaves things on top of the dishwasher although this is not all the time. He does hoover for me and clear about the house and when he feeds Kara he clears up after her. His clothes lie beside the bed and that sort of annoys me too but to be honest I cant really say much because I haven't left him much room in the wardrobe lol.
He doesn't put on a wash but I wouldn't let him anyway as I wouldn't trust them to come out right. I also do the ironing but I dont care about that.
He tidies more than he cleans but thats ok with me.
