Hiya, hope you don't mind if I join in? I'm not exactly young at 25, but I feel a lot younger! I'm from Huddersfield and have 2 little girls, my eldest is 14 months and youngest is 9 weeks today.

Shellyc, your lo looks so cute! My best friend is a teacher in Dewsbury, can't remember the name of the school though.

Melissa, good luck ttc, have fun with it and it might happen sooner than you think!

Well I do sometimes forget how old I actually am!! I feel so much younger, know what my mum meant now when she said your body gets older but your mind stays 18 forever!

We live in Honley, near Holmfirth, it's a nice little place but quite a long way out of town. I had both my babies in Hudds Royal Infirmary which is in Lindley, but that's about the only place I know up there! Did you ever live in Hudds?

Lo's always look so angelic in the baby photos don't they? Think I'll take a few of them screaming, just so I don't forget!

How are you finding being pregnant and having a little one? It was hard work for me but so worth it now I have both my girls together!

i know holmfirth, its nice there, my gma n gdad used to take me and my sister there and we fed the ducks on the river and had dinner in a cafe and what have ya, it was nice.

iv never lived in huddersfield, iv always lived in mirfield and dewsbury, think if my mum had had her way we would have lived in huddersfield tho!!

how old are your girls? it is hard work, esp now im nearing the end, its hard work just taking my dd up the stairs to bed, i get out of breath so easily, but like ya say, the hard work will defo be worth every min!

Hope everyone is well

Aw I used to love feeding the ducks too!

There's just 12 months between my girls- Lily-Mae is nearly 15 months and Evie Rose is 10 weeks. They get on so well to say they're so little, it's great! Lily's always kissing Evie and trying to play with her, so sweet.

I really struggled towards the end of preg cos I was huuuuge! Could barely sit Lily on my knee or get upstairs with her. But second time round I recovered much quicker after the birth and was so happy when I could play with Lily properly and give her cuddles again!

What age gap will your 2 have? It'll probably be really good for them growing up as they'll be really close. Hope you're feeling well.

hiya leanne, sorry to here your not gettin the support you should be, im fortunate in that my oh is great with my dd and with me! if your really that unhappy should you be together?hope it gets better for ya!

Hiya lea77, Your two dd's sounds so cute! my dd will be 1 on the 1st sept and baby is due on the 14th sept but is breech at the moment so maybe coming early! so there will be just a year in between my two.

It is hard work, im nearly 32 weeks tho so not long left, plus my oh helps out loads which takes the strain off me :)

how are you finding it, having two so close in age, apart from all the cute kisses! heehee. People say to me that im brave having two so close together, but we wanted it this way so that they can grow up together, was yours planned?

Well I did want a small age gap but no Evie wasn't planned! It was a huge shock as I'd been feeling like I wanted another and even sayin it'd be great to have them a year apart, but when I found out I was pregnant again I felt so overwhelmed and thought I'd never cope.

Having the two of them is amazing. There's the odd day where things get hectic and they both need stuff at same time but mostly I've found everything easier this time around and it's not much more work. Plus I'm lucky to have a great husband who helps me so much with them. The only thing I find difficult at times is getting out of the house- end up with one ready to go then the other needs changing etc by which time there's not enough time to get where I was going!

Hope your baby decides to turn around for you soon! I had the opposite problem with Evie, she was head down and engaged from about 36 weeks, mw kept saying I'd go into early labour if I wasn't careful. Of course she ended up being 2 days late! Which hospital will you be going to? Is there one in Dewsbury?

Leanne- sounds like you're in a difficult situation hun, have you told your oh how you feel?

well you've certainly eased my worries a little, thanks! i am stressing that i wont be able to cope! Chloe our dd wasn't planned, but this one was as it seemed like the best idea we had had, but now its getting closer im starting to panic a little, like "arg what if i cant cope!!!!!" but im sure i will, well i have no choice!heeehee, but like i said my oh is excellent and helps out the best he can as well as working full time and my mum and dad are there if we need extra help, esp if i have to have a section.

Got midwife in half an hour so will find out then! infact, i best go get ready!

Hope all is well

How did you get on with the midwife hun? Hope baby is okay, any signs that she's turning?

Don't worry about coping with 2 lo's, I'm sure if I can manage anyone can! Had months of comments like 'how are you going to cope?' which sort of wore me down a bit but thankfully I settled right into it straight away. Think it helps that Evie is so laid back as well, Lily was the total opposite!

We were other way round to you, we planned our first baby (well, decided we'd just see what happened) and I fell pregnant within the first month was so shocked! And then with Evie it just happened after one accident. But it's the best thing that's ever happened to me!

I'm suffering today as went out drinking last night. First time since I found out I was pregnant in Aug 2006! So it's been nearly 2 years, no wonder I've got an awful hangover today! Was great fun and think I'm happier to get back to babies and hubby after a bit of time for myself.

Hope you're all well.

hiya,

everything went fine at midwife, baby is fine, still breech tho!!! midwife said she thinks it may be bc i had an emergancy c-section last time and might have some scar tissue or something, so no sign of turning yet!going again in two weeks.

everyone says im crazy too, and how on earth will i cope, its like "thanks everyone for having so much faith in me!"lol, i know it will be hard but i also know it will be very very worth it wen i have my two little girls too!

hangovers are never good at the best of times, never mind with two kiddies to look after, i bet your having loads of fun! lol, like you i aint been out and got drunk since 2006! but im not bothered, not much for going out to be honest.just once every blue moon is fine by me,i can imagine when i have a drink only needing one o two to be on my ****!lol

hope you recover fast!

Haha, I felt drunk after first glass of wine! Was good fun but I won't be doing it every week, I'm not one for going out all the time- did all that while I was at uni!

Glad you and bubs are okay. Will you be upset if you end up with another section or don't you mind? My auntie had emergency c-sec with her first baby and tried again to have her second vaginally but ended up with another section. Think she was glad she'd tried though.

How's your little girl doing? Do you think she realizes that there's something different about you? Lily never even took any notice of my belly, even though it was constantly in her way when I picked her up!

We're going on hols in the morning, just to Bridlington for 5 days but it'l be so nice to have a change of scene! Hope to catch up with you when I get back. Take care.

yeah i know what you been bout going out drinking, im only 21 and its like "been there done that" its always nice to get dressed up and go out every now and then tho, keeps us sane!

i dont mind if i have to have another section, i believe in fate so if i have to have one then there will be a very good reason and it will be for the best im sure :)

The midwife seems to think its coz i have a small pelvis but they cant say for sure so who knows!

Chloe (my dd) is fine thanks, think she has started with a bit of cold this morning off daddy but she dont seem to mind! She's cruising on the furniture alot now and were trying to encourage her to walk. Is your little girl walking?I dont think she notices my belly really, altho she has noticed my belly button sticking out and she prods it in amazement!lol

Wish we were off on holiday! brid is better then no where at all! hope you have a fab time, and speak to you when ya get back

Oh lol at Chloe prodding your belly button! Hope she's getting over her cold now. Both mine have the sniffles at the mo. How's Chloe getting on with the walking? Lily was crusing for ages and she started walking not long after her first birthday, can't stop her now! It's so sweet watching her stomping around.

We had a great holiday thanks! We stayed in a caravan, was quite nice but small bedrooms so Lily ended up sleeping in a big bed (she did really well and didn't fall out or anything) then we had to let Evie sleep in the wardrobe! There was no space for her carrycot so we had to put it in wardrobe! Don't worry, we left the doors open and she slept like an angel! Weather was gorgeous as well, even managed to get a slight tan so I'm just pale rather than neon white now haha.

Hope you're doing okay and not feeling too tired. Are you all ready for the birth? I felt so awful leaving Lily when I went into labour I was nearly crying. Thankfully Evie was born quickly and mother inlaw brought Lily in to see us soon after. It was so lovely the first time I had them both together Smile

Chloe is still cruising round the furniture, i keep thinking "any day now" She will be 11months on friday, i cant believe time has passed so quick!

I am all ready for the birth, counting down the days if im honest, but i know it will soon be here, im 33weeks today.

Chloe's cold didnt last long, just a day or two, how are your two?did they enjoy their holiday?i bet they did! :)

My 2 are great thanks. I'm just worried that Evie might be teething and she's only 12 weeks! She's just dribbling non-stop and biting everything she can, even the teat on her bottle.

Took them both to a christening today and was so proud cos they both behaved really well! No crying or anything. There were tons of kids there though, no-one could hear the vicar and then a little boy in front of me started throwing up everywhere! So hardly a quiet affair. Was nice to get out and show my girls off for a bit!

Think Lily definitely enjoyed her holiday, but Evie didn't have a clue what was going on!

Bless Chloe, I bet the moment you stop watching for her to walk she'll take off!

Aw 33 weeks now, hope it goes quickly for you. Bet you can't wait to meet your baby!

aww bless them being really good for ya! we went to a wedding party on saturday night and Chloe was so good bless her, she can get grumpy when she's tired but she wasnt a minutes bother.

Sounds like the christening wasnt quiet at all! lol. nice and eventful to keep everyone on their toes!

33 weeks and 1 day now, lol, and counting, my whole pregnancy seems to have flown up until now, now i seems to be going really slowly! i dont think the heat helps, i was lucky wen i had Chloe, we didnt have much of a summer last year, altho i shouldnt complain, i do like summer better then winter!

Im sure Chloe was teething at 3 months she dribbled everywhere all the time! she didnt get her first tooth till about 9 months i think it was, they took forever, she has 6 now tho, and one more coming threw, shes got um all at once!

Has Lily got many teeth?

Lily's got 16 teeth now! It's mad that she's got so many but thankfully they haven't been too much trouble for her. She's just recently got her fangs through and she seems to like biting me with them!

Really don't know how you're coping in this heat with your bump! Think I was lucky having both mine in spring when it wasn't too warm.

Glad Chloe was a good girl for at wedding party, it's so nice to get to a point where you know you can take your lo out without all hell breaking loose!

I'm taking Evie to a baby massage class tomorrow so I'm hoping she'll behave for me-it goes on for an hour and a half though which seems like ages for a bunch of 3 month olds!

Ah, poor thing Katie, specially with the sickness it must be awful! It is definitely all worth it in the end though. Try not to get too stressed out (easier said than done I know) hopefully the sickness will go soon and you'll feel much better.

Shel, Lily has started having tantrums! Went to b&q yesterday and she was screaming the whole time, proper angry screams...thought I'd have at least another year til this started!

Evie loved the massage, she was the only one that didn't cry, in fact she was laughing at some bits which was funny! Did Chloe enjoy it when you took her? Lily just used to get really cross and cry most of the time but she liked it at home.

Your baby must be too comfy to move now! Will you have that thing done where they try and turn the baby round? Or will it be a section? Think I'd rather have a section, I was on tenterhooks wondering when I was going to go into labour with Evie! At least when you have a date it doesn't take you by suprize! Glad you're all well.

Lily having tantrums already, i bet thats fun!lol.maybe she was just having an off day?

i think baby is too comfy, wen i go to my consultation on monday the midwife said they will probably do another scan to make sure baby is breech. midwife said its up to me if i want them to try turn baby, with me having an emergancy section first time round tho i have the option this time. so im just guna go straight for the section :)

how have you been enjoying the nice weather?

Hey, how are you?

Don't think Lily was having an off day, more like an off week! She's started screaming when she doesn't get her own way and she sort of throws herself backwards which is scary- we have stone floor and I'm terrified of her cracking her head on it.

We went to tropical world yesterday, it was brill! Soooo funny cos we saw Jimmy Saville outside wearing his shell suit! He was looking at us as if expecting us to be really starstruck but we just kept walking haha. A claim to fame for me at last though!!

Have you been getting out and about much lately? How's Chloe coming along with her walking?

Bet you can't wait to get a date for meeting your baby! Will make things easier for you with Chloe as well.

Is tropical world the one in leeds?is it a good place for the kids?might be an idea to take Chloe :) Jimmy Saville, heehee, i wonder if he knows he looks like a complete idiot in the shell suit!lol.

I cant walk for a right long time at mo, it just takes it out of me so we havent done much. Chloe took 3 steps today, yay! defo dont think she will be long before shes off walking all the time heehee, its great aint it, watching them learn what to do?!

i defo cant wait for a date, im counting down the days till monday, only 6 left!lol. all my pregnancy has flown and now im just so eager and frustrated at the same time, i think its coz im just finding it hard work, im a wuss i know lol iv just had enough and want to meet baby already :) it will all be worth it wen baby is here tho i know that.

it is quite early, she might be walking properly before she's one which is quite an achievement i think?!

That tropical world sounds like a nice day out, were bouts is it?is it expensive?did Evie like it?i wonder if its worth taking Chloe sometimes with her being young still, dont want it to be a waste of money.

Iona, hope your little man makes an appearance soon! Love the name Oscar, we wanted that if we had a boy.

Yeah Shel, not many babies walk before they're one, Chloe must be a little genius! Bless her, bet she looks so cute. Lily started walking just after she turned one and now there's no stopping her!

Tropical world is in Leeds, just opposite roundhay park. Think it was £3 per adult but babies are free. We had a nice time as there's a cafe there and if it's a nice day you can walk in the gardens and the park as well. There's a scary bit in the tropical world which is all dark, nocturnal zone, I nearly had a heart attack cos I thought there would be bats and things flapping round but thankfully they were all behind the glass! Lily seemed to enjoy it, especially all the fish. Hey, you might even see Jimmy Saville, got to be worth a look!

Ooh, what you been baking?! I've just bought a recipe book so I'm going to attempt some baking this week...though I'm usually a disaster in the kitchen!

Oh just had to tell you that Lily has made up a song whhen she eats her tea, she goes 'beans, beans' in a singsong voice, soooo funny!

Is it Monday you get your date for sec? Good luck and let me know when baby's birthday will be!

hi lea, my daughter is going to be a genius!lol, heehee, weve managed 5 steps quite a few times now but then her bum hits the floor, or she grabs hold of something near by.

£3 for tropical world aint bad is it, its worth that just to see jimmy saville!hahaha!i went to chester zoo a long time ago now, wen i was a kid and they had a nocturnal thing there, except the bats were loose! eeks! there were warning signs to make sure you had your hair tied up and things so the bats dint get stuck in it :S

Bet you're annoyed with hospital eh? Always messing people around!

Hope you've been getting some rest.

Not too long left to wait then Rachel! Hope your baby is kind to you and doesn't decide to be 2 weeks late!

Good luck for tomorrow Shel, will be thinking of you at 2pm lol! Hope you get a date this time, then it'll just be a matter of counting down the days!

Lily is really trying with her talking now, she says quite a few words but never when anyone else is listening- I'm sure it's her mission in life to make me look stupid! I always say, look she can do this or say this and Lily stands there like a mute statue!

Oh had the evening from hell today- Lily throwing tantrums really badly, then she threw her cup of milk which hit Evie :( I shouted at Lily and felt awful after but really don't know how else to get her to realize it's wrong to do that???? I'm at my wits end! Evie took ages to settle tonight as well, I was nearly crying along with her. Thankfully all's quiet for the mo so gonna grab a cuppa and chill out a bit!

Hiya Lea, i know what you mean bout kids making ya look stupid, you tell people they have said or done something, but weneva anyone else is there they just look at you as if to say "im not a performing monkey leave me alone!!" lol. Chloe hasnt manage any more then 5 steps yet, i keep tryin to encouage her but i think she will just do the rest wen shes ready, shes not been in a good mood these last few days, think shes getting some more teeth.

Sounds like youve had a very eventful night, and not in a good way, i hope they are both settled for you now! i know what ya mean bout shouting and then feeling bad but you just gota remember they need to learn, dont want them growing up doing what they want wen they want!

ill be sure to post an update moro, let ya no how my appointment goes, only 16hours 30 mins to go!hahahaaha....i just cant wait!

Hello,

No not long to go at all, but im really bored of being at home all day on my own, there is nothing to do at all.

Yeah it is my first baby. I really want to know when she is going to come I dont like the not knowing its getting me quite frustrated just sitting about wondering if today is the day. My mum doesnt think she is going to put in an appearence til September though.

Yay Shel that's great! Only a few weeks to go then! Must be lovely having that certainty about when baby will get here and be able to get everything ready.

How many teeth does Chloe have now? It's so horrible when they get new ones, I always think it must kill! Lily's got 16 so think there's only 4 more to go and then they'll all be falling out again!

Rachel, my first baby was 10 days late but I didn't mind as I always felt she would be. If you start to get annoyed with it, pretend your due date is 2 weeks later cos you'll defo have your baby by then! Do you know if your baby is boy or girl or are you having a suprize?!

hiya.

Rachel, i would have to agree with your mum that it will probably be sept, everyone seems to go over with their first, they just dont want to come out!!!

Lea, Chloe has 8 teeth now, four at top and four at bottom, but i think she is getting more, she has been in a bad mood all week and its not getting any better and she has started pointing at her mouth and crying bless her! i wasnt sure how many teeth they was supposed to get?is it 20 then?like ya say, once they are all threw they will start dropping out and the fun begins again, h the joy!lol.

i am glad i no a date it is alot easier to plan, 3 weeks on monday yay, one week after Chloes bday.

Aw we will have nearly the same age gap between our babies then- Evie was born 12 days after Lily turned 1.

Are you planning a big day for Chloe's birthday? I didn't dare to for Lily was scared I'd go into labour lol! She enjoyed herself though.

Yeah think they have 20 baby teeth, I lost track with Lily's for a while! She got her 1st ones at 20 weeks, then they all seemed to come really quickly. I'm hoping Evie will wait a while to get her first teeth through.

Evie rolled over yesterday for 1st time! We were so proud and the look on her face was sooo funny- she was dead suprized that she'd done it!

Hope you're enjoying the weekend.

awww bless Evie rolling over!!!!well done Evie heehee. they dont stay babies for long do they!!!!!

not got anything big planned for Chloes bday, didnt want to arrange anything till i got my date just in case! me and oh decided against a big party as she's only 1 and wont even realise whats going on so it will just be a nice day with mummy and daddy, probably go to park with a picnic or something like that, im sure she will have a few visitors too!
we got here some mega blocks the other day from toys r us,its like big lego, its ace, i cant wait to play with them!lol.
what did you get Lily for her 1st bday? weve been struggling for ideas, what do oyu get a baby that has everything!lol, she already has loads of clothes and toys from the rest of the family!

Chloe didnt get her teeth till she was about 9 months i think it was, iv lost track already! but she has 8 now as they all came threw at the same time.

Hope everyone is well and has a good weekend

Sounds great, I'm sure she will have a lovely day! Like you say they don't remember it but I'm sure you'll take about a million photos! We got some mega blocks for Lily at Christmas- can't wait til she's old enough for proper lego though cos I was addicted to it when I was little and I want to play with it again! Think for Lily's first we got her a doll, a rocket which she hates and a book. I didn't see the point of getting her too much when she was more interested in the wrapping paper anyway!

We had a pretty quiet weekend, Rob always works both Sat and Sun so I'm usually stuck at home. Just popped round to my mums for a bit on Sunday, Lily likes to harrass my younger brothers! (They are nearly 11 and 6) In fact she said Oliver today so I was dead pleased with her! She's trying so hard to talk now, she can say quite a few random words!

Did you do anything exciting over the weekend? Is Chloe still poorly with her teeth? Hope she's a bit better now.

iv just got camcorder out for Chloe's bday, never mind loads of pics, ill have the whole day on film lol. were not going crazy on presents for her bday either, esp with the little one coming too, shes got a big bag of the mega blocks, a dolly and this stacking bear thingy, and i know everyone else will spoil her too, no point having thousands of presents and not using them, its just a waste of money!

What does Rob do to work sat and sun?its a bit crap aint it, ian works saturdays but gets every sunday off.

We had a nice weekend, my mum and dad had Chloe on sat as they have been on holiday and missed her, we went to theirs for t and had a chinese, YUM!heehee then Chloe stayed at theirs for the night, sunday i went to huddersfield and to see my grandad as he's not been well and then my mum and dad came to ours for t. and whilst i was out on sunday ian cleaned all the house spotless and did all my ironing Happy yay!

Chloe was okay at the weekend, but hasnt been right well yesterday and today again!!!!!she's been off her food today and was sick earlier too :S

was wondering if you wanted to sawp emails rather then clogging up the forum?
