I am so confused. When we were ttc when we had ds it took 5 months. I took my temp and worked out that I ovulated on day 14 of a 30 day cycle each month. On the 5 month I used CB digital ovulation tests and I was right - showed I would ovulate on day 14. That month we got preggers and went on to have a sucessful pregnancy.
In Feb we decided to start being less careful and see what happens to try for baby 2. I started on folic acid and looking after myself etc in the jan. We got preggers 1st month! couldn't believe it but soooo happy! We found out in april that we had mmc at routine scan. I had no symptoms that anything was wrong, my body had made me feel pregnant right thro even sick on day of scan. I had an erpc.
It took 37 days for 1st AF. Seceond cycle I was convinced i was preggers - I have always known before. But I was wrong and got a BFN and had a 31 day cycle.
This cycle I thought I would use CB digital ovulation tests again. I started using them on day 13 expecting to show I would ovulate on day 14 or 15 but nothing. I am so hoping it shows I am about to ovulate tomorrow or else I am going to be so annoyed. Or wondering if I have ovulated early? We are BDing like mad so we can hope anyway but I just want to understand my body again! I hate all this wondering, hoping, praying :cry:- altho the sex is good and I have a very happy hubby (sorry if all a bit tmi)

Hey hun I know many of the girls find their cycles to be really off after a MMC, I think they say the luteal phase usually stays the same so it could mean you could be ovulating a couple of days later then previously if your cycle is running a couple of days later, fingers crossed for a BFP soon xxx

I'm having the same problems. Was a regular 32 day cycle before MMC in March, but since then have been having cycles of 40-43 days. Very frustrating as it makes the waiting each month seem so much longer. But, I agree with little minx that the luteal phase should probably stay the same. I am OVing around CD 30ish. I was hoping my body would settle back to normal, but have now come to the conclusion that this probably is normal for me now. Hope you get your BFP soon.

hi, know just how you feel. i'm now on day 17 of 2nd cycle after mc. before mc i always had 28 day cycles, i concieved both my daughters after a couple of months just by guessing ov was around cd 14.
but all seems to have changed after mc. we started ttc again from first cycle i used some opks but never actually pin pointed ov in that cycle, finally got af 49 days later. now i was expecting ov around day 14 if i was back to normal but i've been using opk from cd11 and still no ov yet. i think a lot of peoples cycles are messed up for a while after mc. i'm just gonna keep testing and b-ding and hopefully a bfp will come my way! hoping for the same for you. good luck xxx

i know it is frustrating - i'm in exactly the same situation - see the link below - i keep harking on about this article in different posts but i was muchos impressed with it and at least you can work out when you ov'd in heinsight (sorry, can't spell!!)...hope you get your peak soon...

Hey hun I've been experiencing similar this month and just posted a thread asking about OV!
Before my MC my cycle was 28 days and OV'd day 14 but after the MC my last cycle was 32 days (though I didn't calulate my OV in that one), so for this month I thought best buy OV sticks and it showed I Ov'd on Friday which was day 18 (rather than last Mon - day 14!!!!)
We'd BD'd from from day 10 to make sure got it covered from then onwards - OH is loving it but as Kristen77 says - I am SHATTERED hahahaha - oh well glad I did the OV sticks as I'd have stopped BD'ing last Wednesday so least we know we got it covered now haha - well fingers crossed anyway!!!!!!

Hi Thanx for the replies. Well I used ovulation sticks up until today and today it shows I am about to ovulate - day 17!! Anyway like you girls have said we have been at it a couple of times a day since last week - anytime we can lol and now we have got to be at it loads of at least the next 48 hrs too I am knackered!!! I am not sure hubby will have any sperm left :lol:
I am so praying it works this month. I have a busy 2 weeks planned so I am hoping the time up til I test goes quickly. I can't do another month or more of this It is all I think about. that is why I was so please when I fell last time we weren't really trying and I was so releieved cos I didn't have to go thro all this and now I am a ttc nutter again!

I obviously want to get preggers for all the right reasons too but does anyone else feel like they NEED to get preggers to help them get over mc? That is how I feel but I don't know what I will do if another pregnancy ends in mc. I feel such failure already.

But atleast I know when I ovulate now. It also explains why we didn't get preggers last month cos we were tired of BD'ing by day 17

Hehehe I did think that about hubby not having any sperm left seeing as we'd been at it since day 10 as I thought I'd OV at day 14 and not day 18 this month - thank god for OV sticks so I knew to carry on, though was quite nice last night to have a 'rest'!!!!!!

I think the moment you TTC it becomes obsessional even though you tell your selves countless times you won't let it happen - you do!!!!

I am mixed bag re: getting pregnant again. I feel empty and just want to be pregnant again but then feel guilt that I can want to replace my lost angel so quickly?! Does that make sense?

I feel the women that go through a few MCs in a row and cope and have the strength too are amazing as one was awful enough with the feelings of failure etc - let alone more - its all just so hard :-(

Men really do have it so easy LOL
