Introducing Myself!
Hi All
've only posted once on here, and have been reading lots of posts so I thought it was time to say hello and introduce myself!
I got married in January this year, and after originally planning to start TTC next March, the date just kept coming forward and forward! I came off the pill on 22nd May, and first AF came on CD32, which finished a couple of days ago.
Trying really hard not to think about it loads, but it's SO hard not to wonder when I'll ovulate, keeping my legs up after BD etc etc!
How did any of you guys get started - straight into counting days and imagining symptoms? Or a bit more laid back?
I think it's very obvious to us as before we started TTC we didn't do much BD - about once a week. And now that's every day/every other day so it's a pretty obvious change!
Anyway, hoping there will be some buddies on here for me - especially as I can't chat to friends/family about it right now!
Take care,
T xxx

HI and welcome! I hope you get a quick and straight forward BFP, you do get to learn alot, quickly on here!
I agree with Diane, a relaxed approach is certainly healthier...however after a few months - it's not as easy!

hi hun and welcome i was one of the lucky ones and got my bfp 3 weeks after my withdrawal bleed from coming off the pill having taken it for 9 years. we just took a really relaxed approach to it as we were convinced it would take a while to get pregnant with the pill coming out of my system etc. I thought I would only be a few months pregnant by this time now but Im due in 17 days!! try and relax and just BD as often as poss but dont force yourselves in to it you dont wanna turn it in to a chore - try and enjoy it altho i know how easy it is to get caught up in it i had just brought a thermometer and ov sticks when i got my bfp and that was only 4 weeks after i stopped taking the pill!
good luck and sending you lots of pregnant lady baby dust

Hi Guys,
thanks for your replies, great to hear from you all! It's actually been great lately having BD a lot more - the more you get, the more you want theory seems to be working and it makes us so much closer too. Feeling very loved up indeed!
**LH86** - lucky you! Good luck with the birth, bet its come round so quickly!
KayeCee, Starry Eyed & Diane - where are you guys at? been TTC for long or not?
Take care, Tara xxx

Hey hun,
Am new too, been trying for 2months, like you i didnt want it to take over my life, now its all i think about!!!
I was on the pill for 9 years, been going out wiv my fiance for 8 years, engaged for 4 and lived together for a year. BDing became a routine, now its completely different!! Dont get me wrong its fab, but the disappointment at the end of the month when my AF arrives is heartbreaking for both of us.
I wish you all the best of luck. Where starting again tomorrow so at least its a fun weekend!!!

hello there,
welcome to the wonderful world of ttc!
i am on my 5th cycle now after coming off the pill. i started counting the days immediatly and quickly became pretty obessed! opks are good if they work for you (they don't for me, always positive) but they can lead to some quite pressurised BDing! doctor friends claim that by far and away the best method of ttc is to simply to BD every 2 or 3 days.
i hope it happens quickly for you xxx

hi welcome to ttc. we did the relaxed approach for the first month (worked with my first). Then into month 2 started counting days but hopefully you wont even need to do that & you get you bfp very soon. I know what you mean about the bd. My oh is over the moon he is getting more "action" and feel myself making the first move now. Youre right it does seem to bring you closer. Good luck hope that bfp comes quick.xx

I'm trying not to even think about ov sticks etc right now, and going on the assumption that as I've just come off pill after 10 years, I could be ovulating literally any day in the cycle!
Hubby went away this morning til next Weds, so trying not to think that I'll ovulate while he's away!

Hi Fergy,
I'm new too and so far also not telling F&F about us TTC. I won't deny it, if asked directly, but MisterG doesn't want us to spoil the surprise when we announce - although after over ten years together and nearly two years married I think most F&F have given up asking!
I've not used any ov sticks yet. Since coming off the pill and out 1.5 years ago, AF has been pretty regular, so I've just used dates to work out when I've ov'd. It's only our first month, so keeping hopeful. If youre just off the pill, you might be one of these lucky ones who go straight away. I hadn't heard of that until I was well off the pill. I came off it because I thought I needed my body to get back to normal after being on it for so long (I didn't have any AF for years while I was on it).
Anyway, here's hoping you get a nice BFP soon.
Good luck
MissusG

P.S. We also originally planned on starting TTC later than we have, but I'm so impatient - I'm going to be rubbish at this game if it takes aaages!!
