VBAC with SPD?

Hi ladies, i had a em sec nearly 4 years ago, after getting to 8cm and baby in distress plus meconium around baby. Quite a scary time! Anyway didnt have pelvis problems first time round but been diagnosed this time at 29 weeks, agony! Its so horrible im even considering not trying for VBAC and have elec csec just so i dont go verdue as this pain is agonising and debilitating...but im trying to say has any of you had a VBAC with SPD. has it caused any problems for your labour or affected the chance of a succesful VBAC? Sorry ive rambled on but im taking codiene for the pain and its just confusing me! let alone being exhausted from no sleep and running round after a three year old! Ahhh im a mess

Thanks for reading xxx

I would say that if you can have an elec sect, do it.

I had severe SPD with my 1st child but was made to go natural as the hospital wouldnt give me a section, I ended up dislocating my coxxyx during the labour. I had SPD again during my 2nd pregnancy which turned into a spontaneous symphisiotomy (pelvis completely splits into 2) and was again refused a section (on my due date). I ended up twisting the 2 parts of my pelvis in opposite directions during the labour. I now have permanent damage to my pelvis, back and neck because of this.

I am now 16+3 pregnant again and my SPD started at 4 weeks this time. I have spoken to my consultant about getting a section this time because of all the damage that was caused with the last 2 labours and they are refusing again. I'v also been told that I wont be able to have an epidural because of the damage to my back.

If your hospital will give you a section and you are happy to have one then I would say do it. It would save you any damage that might be caused during the labour.

VBAC with SPD?

Wow, that sounds awful! That is out of order, its all to do with there statistics and ticking the right boxes on there reports,...not about the idividual patient. Well as much as id like to try for a VBAC baby has flipped to breech im nearly 34 weeks now and im doubting he will turn back again as he has been head down all the way through. Going for a scan just to be 100% then going to be booked in.Still feel weird about it but just have to set my mind to a c-sec. I really think u should look into changing consultants until you find one who will take ur situation into consideration. Thanks for ur reply :) xx
