Thought I would start a seperate thread so that we don't all get lost in the other one! (And so that people who don't live anywhere near us don't get fed up of us )

Best date/place seems to be Xscape at Castleford (just off J32 of the M62) at about 11.30am on Monday 10th August. If everyone who can make it can shout I'll phone and let them know we are coming!!!

The reason I suggested a Wednesday is going to sound awful but Alex, my middle son who's 20 months, is a bit of a handful and on Wednesdays he goes to his childminder all day from 9am - 4pm so I was just going to bring the other 2 for an easy life! Bad mummy!!

So, if we're doing another day then I am free any day apart from Thursdays still. I could do next week on Monday or Tuesday. Any days the 2 weeks after. I have plans 3rd and 5th August but nothing after that! Phew!

I'm not overly familiar with indoor places to go in Leeds. Could we maybe go to Roundhay Park? I suppose that's dependent on the weather though. Might be too much of a risk!

Roundhay might be tricky for people to get to without cars maybe? What about meeting at Xscape in Castleford? There is a train station there (Glasshoughton) and there's a soft play place that might be good maybe?

just looked it up, work this out. By car castleford is 1hr 40mins...by train its 4hrs!!

Sounds about right SB, to get to my mums in Nottingham takes about 50mins in the car, it's 2 1/2hrs on the train!!!

Dee Dee, it definitely easy to get to from M'broro. Like 1stbaby said, straight down the A1 and across the M62. The soft play bit has a big climbing frame for the slightly older ones and a nice baby bit, although it might be a bit full with all of us The cafe does good sandwidges and things as well.

dee dee - I will DEFINITELY have my hands full with my 3! Casper is almost 4, Alex will be 21 months by then and Toby will be 7 months.

Alex is a little mischievious monkey, always up to something. He's very friendly though so he's going to love meeting all these new play mates.

Casper is like a mini-daddy to the other 2 so he'll probably help us all look after the little ones!

is it safe.....? When you are in the softplay will we be stressing or is it well enclosed and safe to relax a little to chat???? Hope so!!!! Would be shame to come all that way and just spend the time running in 3 directions worrying about my kids. I am a worrier and always think every person who comes near my kids is a potential kidnapper or peado!!!! I get a bit anxious in crowded places when I cant see my kids!

Kelly...glad your going to be as busy (in a nice way) Joseph my 5 and half year old is fine and will look after his brother Charlie who will be 4 in October. Amelia just potters about and is a cheeky little monkey too.

I'm going to try and sort out getting a big table in the soft play place so there is enough room for all of us. It's about £3 each for the bigger ones but I think under 12 months are either free or only 50p-£1 and then we can get lunch there as well. Going to wait another week or so for final numbers and then I'll phone them and see what they say!!

If you get a train to Glasshoughton (NOT Casleford) it is litteraly just across a bridge and your there. There is loads of free parking as well though if you decide to drive.

How long are people thinking of staying? before I book a train and either have to miss out and leave really early or have to sit around by myself after eveyone has gone I don't want to miss any fun but I don't want to have to hang around either -

CC - I would think I'll be staying a few hours, it all depends on when my 3 seem ready to leave really. I take them for tea to my PILs on a Monday so I'd have to be back for that, at the latest I'd be leaving about 4pm to get back on the M62 to get to theirs for 5pm.

hi kerry...think I may have to bow out. I really wanted to come but I got an unexpected reaction from my family. I land on the 5th and my childless sister has taken the week off starting the 10th. When I suggested we go to the meet she said...oh great.. come home and spend time with people you dont really know rather than your family who miss you like mad!!!! Sooo, feel bad and think best I plan day out with them instead.

If things change I will let you know but, for now, cross me off the list.

To say I am gutted is an understatement. I have read the meet up threads with envy and was soooo excited that I could finally make one.

Charli, I think we may get thrown out of the soft play after a couple of hours, although there is nothing stopping us going some where else in Xscape for a coffee, or going for a walk round the designer outlet place across the road. Personally I think I'll have to go by about 2.30 at the latest as Barney won't nap while I'm out (too nosey) and turns into a pumpkin (or a stroppy, shouty little sod) if he doesn't get his afternoon nap!

Kerry - I was going to say about 2.30pm too, that gives us roughly 3 hours. I know my kids will probably be getting cranky by then too. Alex still needs a couple of hours nap time in the afternoon and will probably be worn out by 2.30pm anyway.

right ho I will look at trains AGAIN later! and then decide to drive or train it.

Think train will be easier as max will be able to wander etc but think car will be quicker - oh decisions decisions!

I think we will leave by 2.30pm at latest. That day is the first day of hubby's two weeks off but he was happy for us to come and get out of his hair so he can tidy his garage in peace!!!!!

Charli, if it makes any difference, you will have company on the train at least as far as Leeds station (no car so train it is for us). Will have to leave no later than 3 as Peter will be a nightmare if he doesn't get his late nap at home.

It's just across the road hun, just make sure you get the train to Glasshoughton, not to the main Castleford station.

I have still tottaly failed to speak to them so I think we are going to have to just turn up and find our own table they have plenty of space so it shouldn't be a problem. Getting really excited now, can you tell I don't get out much
