my baby is here!! PICTURES ADDED!
Hi ladies hope your all well!
I had my baby boy on thursday at 12:38!
I was in slow labour for 2 days prior, then on thursday my waters broke at 9am so i phoned the hosp (was booked in for a homebirth but they wouldn't let me until i was 38 weeks- i was 37+6!!!!!)
so i went straight in, i got to the hosp at 10:30, they examined me at 11:15 and i was 4cm, so they said to take me straight to the delivery room, the midwife came to get me, i was having a contraction so she said we would go once it was over, i got off the bed and had another one, then another in the corridor-they seemed to be coming less than a minute apart!
I got to the delivery room and they said my midwife will be in in a few minutes, i was quite worked up at this point because the pain was so strong so quickly, so i was quite vocal! lol the midwife came in and said 'calm down what you making such a fuss for! which i got really annoyed about, i told her that my last labour was very quick (4hours) and asked her to examine me, she pulled my legs up-mid contraction!! i asked her to wait til it had gone but she carried on!! at which point i was 7cm, she wanted to listen to the babies heart beat so she lay me flat for some reason which was agony! the baby's heart rate was very slow so she shouted for another midwife to bring a monitor through, at which point i had the biggest contraction and the strongest urge to push-so i did! his head came out in one, next push his body was out and he was on my chest - at 12:38! i just couldn't believe it!
On my labour notes it says the first stage of labour was 3hours, 2nd stage was 2 minutes and third stage 10minutes!
I'm so happy my lil boy is here, he weighed 5lb 11oz exactly the same as his brother and the same length-51cm!!
I've got lots of pics but haven't had time to put them on the computer so will add them soon!!
