Jealous toddler - any advice???

Hi Ladies,

I haven't been on here for ages because my computer has not been working!

Anyway, I'm really glad to see how everyone is doing, and I still don't know how to put a photo on so if anyone could help, that would be great.

My daughter Codi, who willbe 4 in August, is a great cjild, but in the last couple of months she has become really jealous of Abi and her behaviour has become really bad. I feel as though I'm always shouting at her and she is now having tantrums!!! which she has never done (I thought I was lucky!!!).

Anyway, I still try to spend time and do things with her but I feel it's never good enough! She always seems to want me to play with her or give her a cuddle when I'm feeding or changing Abi. I know this is a jealous thing but I'm really feeling guilty and I don't know how to deal with this!

For a while there I was giving Abi less time that I should and I felt guilty about that!!! I really just want to find a happy medium. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Ellen xx

Tbh except for carrying on as you are, showing her plenty of affection theres not much you can do. I'd try to ignore the tantrums etc as much as possible as its only her way of seeking attention. I havbe 2 boys and my eldest was pretty good but there are times when hes been jealous. They do get over it, just give it time. Letting her help is a good suggestion. But dont feel bad, all older siblings have to go through it and they will grow out of it eventually xxx
