Hello,

Often when i sneeze my ribs hurt beause they are so powerful and it is a bit of a joke. Obvioulsy when i normally sneeze i am usually upright (stnading/ sitting) but earlier i was laying on the bed and sneezed and had the most shapest stabbing pain in my belly. it wasn't nice but went quite quickly.

what do you all think?

I had this earlier in my pregnancy. Around about 10-16 weeks. Sometimes I used to get it if I'd been sitting for a while then stood up. Think it's just stretching of the ligaments but speak to your mw if you're concerned for reassurance.

I used to dread sneezing in bed cos it was so sore!! I found if I felt a sneeze coming, i'd pull my knees right up to my chest so I was almost curled up into a ball and that way it didnt hurt nearly as much.

I get this. It is like a sharp stabbing pain above my hip bones. It is your round ligament getting tweaked when you sneeze. I find if I tense my tummy muscles and curl up a bit so you aren't stretching as much when I sneeze/cough and that helps.

I had this in early pregnancy, probably up until about 20 weeks but am fine now at 35 weeks. x
