Now, I quite like the idea of giving SKye eggs as they are a cheap and easy to cook source of protein, BUT, apart from giving as scrambled egg I really don't know how to give them to her?
I can't see her going for scrambled eggs as she is ony just starting to eat soft lumps. Plus eggs must be quite a strong flavour on their own surely??
Do any of you use them or have any recipes other than scrambled or omelette? Would love some ideas!!

You may want to check with your health nurse before giving her eggs. I was told to avoid egg whites in the first year possible until age two because egg whites can be highly allergenic and was told to give the egg yolk instead. You can try to hard boil the egg and them take out the yolk and mash it up. But like I said you may want to check with the health nurse or doctor first.

We were advised that all egg is fine. I think it's mainly if there is a history of dairy or egg allergies that you have to be careful.
I tend to give chunks of hard boiled egg as finger food as it's soft and will break off in his mouth. I would have thought scrambled egg and omelette are idea starters for eggs until she gets into having egg sarnies.

I was told all eggs is fine after 6months.
Can't think of any other ideas as the eggs have to be well cooked. Lily will eat scrambled as it crumbles into very fines pieces for her to eat.

I'm giving them - Rachel's had yolk as finger food and she's tried strips of yorkshire pud too.
Frittatas are fun, and a bit more exciting than ordinary omelettes. I used to have a recipe for a sweet potato one that was really nice, I think I got it from the BBC website.

I thought you were meant to avoid egg whites as well but only until about 8-9 months unless there was a history of allergies.
Abby has had egg yolk cooked in custard and cheese sauce but not egg whites yet. I will probably cook her a cheese & veg omelette and cut it into strips for her.

Ooooohhhh just thought - what about eggy bread (french toast)? I'm sure Skye would love that.

Thanks for your idea ladies!
Think I might try an omelette in strips and see if she'll suck on it, made with yolks only. And maybe the eggy bread too Helen!
Tried Philly on bread over the last few days and she's not impressed!
