advice please girls - really worried

Hi Girls

I dont know if any of you have had any previous experiences like mine, just feeling really alone and dont know where to turn, I had a mc in march it was really early at around 5 weeks so didnt even get to the scan stage, and I knew something wasnt right from the pregnancy tests as they were just getting lighter.

Anyway I was lucky enough to get pregnant again and according to my dates I should be 8+3 now. we had a small amount of spotting at 6+ weeks and so the doc booked us a scan at epu it went ok they measured me at 5 weeks from measuring the sac but was in right place they werent too worried about difference in dates and booked me in for my next scan today, the first thing the sonographer said was that she coud see a heartbeat but that it was slower then she would have expected and also I was measuring just 6 weeks, she wasnt so concerned about the measurements but of the heartbeat and now I have to wait another week to go in again, just cant help worrying

Everything is flashing through my head and I have so many questions I wish Id have asked at the time like how low the heart rate was to where it should be it all seems like a blur and now I cant make sense of any of it

If any1 has any similar experiences or advice that would really help

Thanks for listening

Hi Luc

I'm so sorry you're going through this worry right now.

Why don't you ring the EPU up tomorrow and ask all those questions you have - I am sure they won't mind and that lots of women do that. I know I rung up loads when I was going through the first mc. At least you won't have all those questions going through your head for the next week.

Good luck at your next scan - I really hope everything will be ok.

(((((hugs)))))

Hi Luc,

So sorry you've got all this worry.

I agree with NN, might be worth ringing up the EPU. I so hope it works out ok.

Thinking of you.

ive had a similar experience, seems like forever ago now bcoz i am now 30 weeks.
ive had an ectopic, a mmc and a mc, and with the missed 1 i had to go at 5,6 and 7 weeks and that waiting between each week is awful..they couldnt really c anything on my scan they could tell ther was something ther but couldnt c anything definate. so seeing a heartbeat is def a positive sign. altho u mite have lots of questions...would it really help knowing..or wud it make u worry more? they mite not b able to tell u over the phone. everyones different so do wotever u feel is the right thing 4 u. i kno it woulld play on my mind far to much.. and get me stressed which is even worse for the baby. try and relax and take it easy hun. i kno its easier said than done. take care xx

Hi Littleminx,
Im so very sorry to hear your sad news and my heart goes out to you. I understand the heartbreak of a Mc. I suffered one last August at 6 wks. I was sent to EPAU to have a scan after i started spotting and the sonographer cudnt find the sac. I also had a blood test which confirmed that my hormone levels had dropped. You are not alone and we are all here to offer you our support. Please take the time you need for yourself. With heartfelt best wishes. Xxx

Thanks girls, your support means a lot, Im feeling suprisingly positive keep thinking that it wasnt meant to be this time and it will happen for real when it is meant to, and some of your stories have given me hope that even after several losses there comes a time when your body just clicks and it is right, Love Luc xxx
