It will all depend on your consultant. Most do not like to induce due to the increase in the risk of scar rupture so chances are theyd suggest a section. However it is your choice and if you refuse a section for whatever reason and you have to be delivered early then theyll have no choice but to induce you,k but itll obviously be at your own risk that it could cause your scar to rupture which can be fatal to both you and baby. I personally would never have risked an induction after having a section first time round.

I think in the end its your choose, you have to sign a consent form for a section anyway so they cant do one if your refuse!
I had a really bad experience with induction, and im sure its because I was induced early (38 weeks) dues to gestational diabetes and my LO just wasn't ready to come out! I had 5 days in hospital, 4 prostins(sp?) and a gel which failed to bring on labour, so I ended up with an em' c-sec
Not trying to put you off induction at all but obviously depending on how early they'd have to induce with your oc could make induction slow? so they may want to do a section?
Do you want to avoid a section?
I'm sure a consultant will talk through all your risks if you wanted to avoid another section and try for a VBAC.
Congrats on you BFP!

I was induced at 36+5 with dd1 and after 42 hours plus we had an emergency section.
From what i understand the increased risk of scar rupture is quite small isnt it?
I am not really fussed about if i have a section or not, i recoveres quickly from my last one and didnt have any pain etc i just got really fed up with people keep telling me to take it easy after my last one. with the oc i can be delivered from 24 weeks, xxxx

Hey again.
As you know i was under M last time and although he was v reluctant to agree to induction, other consultants on his team agreed that if i went over i could be induced. Obv i dont know what happens if you need to be induced early.
The only prob with a section before 28 weeks is there is a higher risk of maternal comlpications.

Being delivered that ealry i HOPE is just worse case senario and i am hoping to get to at least 30 weeks but i didnt know early sections could lead to probs-do u know what kind?
That is my worry that he is not keen on them, he wanted to sterilise me last time-he is getting an oc specialist to come in on my first consultation as my midwife has already refered me to consultant care, cow!!lol.
I am pretty sure the russian consultant will allow me to be induced early as she said to me after ruby about early induction next time but then again i know it depends on the situation.
i am just trying to get as much stuff as clear as poss in my head.
How are you feeling babe? have you got any scar pain?x

I know what you mean about getting it sorted in your head, i keep posting about things i need to clarify so when i see him on the 23rd im prepared.
I was in a car crash when i was pg with DS3 and was 27 weeks and had threatned labour and they said if they couldnt stop it they would prefer me to try for a vbac as a section was difficult as the uterus isnt fully stretched there is more chance of the surgeon catching other organs with scapel and an increased chance of having a hystercectomy (sp). but thats worse case.
I would have chosen induction if i hadnt gone into natural labour with ds3 as it only increases the chance of rupture from 1 to 2% which for me is still very small. but as you said oc makes everything much more difficult.
Ive been ok for scar pain, sometimes it hurts a bit if i get up funny (if that makes any sense) but in general its been fine, hows yours?

I have never regainied feeling along the whole of my scar, but think they were really rough getting the twins out as i was in so much pain after first section but second section was loads better.
Yeah im seeing him on 23rd July, he has got his freshly pregnant ladies consulataion, as i wanted to see him the same day as my scan but they said he likes to see all new pgs on the same day.
Honey i really think you should see him soon tho, just to prepare yourself
