So worried! Got to go into hospital ): Updated
Hi, went for a scan 10 days ago to be told i was 5 weeks and that they couldn't see a heartbeat. I knew that i should have been 8 weeks from ov date. Knew then that i had mc. Since then had slight bleeding then a couple of days ago got a bit heavier so i presummed i had passed it naturally. Went for scan this morning and it is still there. No heartbeat. Felt sick looking at the screen to see it just there and not moving.
Ive had to have a tablet today and have then got to go in on Thursday for the others where i am told i should pass it. So frightened and don't know what to expect. I have had 3 previous mc which have gone naturally. I have four children and can't help thinking if something is going to go wrong.
As anyone else had this kind of procedure? Sorry to be so nosey about a very sensitive subject. Just don't know what to do. Sara

hi sara
i'm really sorry for your loss. it really is a terrible thing to go through. i had a mmc last june and ended up having the tablets like you. nothing happened after the first tablet. two days later i went in and had the first set of tablets around 9.30am. they also gave me painkillers to get them into my system. i had a private room with a shower room and toilet and felt completely taken care of. the nurses were fabulous. however, nothing happened! at 2pm they gave me a second dose of tablets and about half an hour later i started to bleed - not too heavy just like a period. i wasn't in any pain at all. about 5 o'clock i passed something large (size of a lemon) and just continued to bleed and pass large clots. at about 9pm i asked if i coud go home as i'd really had enough and wanted to leave. i continued to bleed on and off for about 2 and a half weeks, passing large clots and larger 'products'. i then had a follow up appt that confirmed that my mc was incomplete and had to have the erpc.
for me the medical management didn't work but that is not to say that it won't work for you. i know of others who it did work for and they did experience some pain - cramps etc.
i hope this isn't too graphic but when this happened to me, someone on here told me about their experience which really prepared me for the day as i had no idea what was going to happen.
i hope it goes ok for you. x

Hi, just to let you know im back home and i think everything went ok. I think i actually pass products at home this morning. Told them when i got to hospital but they said i still had to go through with the rest of the treatment. Went in at 9am and was out at 1pm. Carried on bleeding and still passing little clots at present. Got to go for another scan in 10 days just to check everything as cleared. Not the best experience ive had. Thanks for your lovely posts. Sara
