At our 12 week scan with dd we discovered we had concieved triplets. . . . two had no hb and had stopped growing @ approx 6-8 weeks.
I just felt so greatful to have 1 hb-1 live baby i pushed the lost 2 into the back of my mind.
I was very ill i n my pregnancy and was scanned to make sure the lost babies had 're obsorbed' so to speak-eventually they had.
I went on to have oc-another story and we almost lost our dd but she now is a happy 11month old.
We are now almost 8 week with number 2 and have seen hb and all is well but my oh says he feel sad approaching dd first birthday because there should be 3 not one and i just dont know how to cheer him up?xxx

hun just give Oli and big hug and tell him he has one daughter adn the other two babys are watching over her and keeping her safe. He will be fine hun and after 2 MC myself i know that he needs to think about the lost babys too, i still say "id be this far on if i hadnt MC" or " i wonder what **** would have looked like now" etc its natural and maybe just letting him talk about them will help. xxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh bless him, must be very hard to come to terms with. I think once her birthday as passed he might find it easier, it may be just because it is her 1st birthday. Just give him a real big cuddle and let him no that he has such a special daughter and im sure the other two lo's like diane said are watching over her.
I had an abortion a year before i fell pregnant with Lea which i still regret to this day and i used to sit there and think, lo would have been born around now and i know the exact dates i concieved etc. You dont ever forget it but it does eventually drift towards the back of your mind and it isnt as hard to cope with.
Talking with him about it might also help hun, keeping it locked up makes it ten times worse and it will just take over, big hugs xx
