How old were your LO when weened? BIG BABY

Hi

I am really new to this and motherhood, so please forgive me. Through out my pregnancy i have had some really greay advice from all you girls and all my questions have been answered, so please help me with this one.

How old were were your little ones before being weened?

My son H is 6 weeks old ( dont worry i am not planning on it just yet...)

When he was born he weighed 11 pounds 9 and half Oz. Surprised Since then he has only gained weight. in the last week he has put on 10oz, more then all the babys put together in his baby group!

He has 6 bottles in 24hrs most of which are 5-7ozs. i am just concerNed that if he carrys on at this rate he will be huge and not fulfilled! He weighs 12lbs 12oz

Any advice please

Thanks x

hi

my lo was 7lb 15 at birth. He was a very hungry baby. We put him on hungry baby milk at 11 weeks and then weened him at 16 weeks because he had all the signs of needing more than just milk.

I've put Zach onto baby rice for the last week and he is 16 weeks today (against my HV's advice!!) He's always been quite hungry so have had him on hungry baby formula for last few weeks. Then he started waking earlier and earlier in the night, putting everything in his mouth, watching us intently when we're eating, gobbling his milk and wanting more and going from 4 hours between feeds to 3, then 2 1/2.

He's been on it a week and he's definitely happier, which makes me happier!
