GP Rob Hicks says...
Ask your pharmacist whether the antibiotic comes in a different flavour that your daughter likes. Also, try to stay calm, rather than seem frustrated, when giving your daughter her medicine. Try saying, 'Mummy will have some medicine first,' and pretend to take it.
Generally, it's best not to mix medicine with food or liquid unless your doctor says it's OK. Again, provided you've checked it's OK, use a 'favourite food chaser', yoghurt, for example, to take the taste away afterwards. And while bribery is never usually a good idea, if it means she gets the treatment she needs, then try it as a last resort.
