Your social baby

Your baby's social circle is growing, but you are still the centre of his world. Your relationship with her forms the basis for her sense of security , her confidence to branch out and play, and sets the pattern for how she relates to others. By 3 months, she'll smile at strangers and stare at other babies, babble, and give and receive affection. By 6 months, she'll recognise emotions, crying if someone cries and reacting to your tone of voice.
