  • We've now got Government support for our parking campaign!

We're thrilled our Save Our Spaces campaign - to stop misuse of parent and child parking spaces - has struck such a chord.

It's the issue that drives you crazy - the misuse of parent and child parking spaces. It's not just the hassle factor, there are safety issues too. In an effort to get something done we took your views to the former Minister for Women (and now Transport Minister) Ruth Kelly.

As a mum of four, Ruth Kelly is only too aware of the reasons behind our campaign:

'I've had to struggle with children, a bump and shopping and not having enough space to put up the buggy. It's important to bring this issue to people's attention so they're aware of what it means to parents and children, and so they become more responsible. The campaign's a great idea, and we can look at issues of enforcement. I'm going to be writing to all the major supermarkets with your readers' concerns.'

Great news! We gave Ruth our 50-page petition with some of your comments, along with some Save Our Spaces Awareness Forms. We'll keep you posted on progress.

We've developed the S.O.S. Save Our Spaces Explanation Form (pictured above) that you can download by clicking on the 'CLICK IT OUT' button at the bottom of this page.

Print out some copies and keep them in your car to stick on the windscreen of an offender's car.

Now we want to see how many Babyexpert users are prepared to stand up and be counted: add your name to our online by petition by going to the chat thread HERE and posting your support for the S.O.S. campaign.

Do email us with your own views too: primababy@natmags.co.uk
