  • Sainsbury's joins the campaign - 11,000 babyexpert mums can't be ignored!

We're thrilled our Save Our Spaces campaign - to stop misuse of parent and child parking spaces - has struck such a chord.

It's an issue that drives you crazy - and now the 11,000+ Babyexpert.com users who have expressed their frustration via the website are finally seeing some action.

Sainsbury's have realised that the issue is one that matters to their customers and have introduced a new squad of bay watchers to drive down the misuse of parent and child parking spaces.

400 of their supermarket car parks, and 18,000 bays, will be checked by a squad of uniformed monitors on motorbikes. In a trial last year £50 fines were issued to cars misusing the bays in 61 Sainsbury's car parks within the M25. The initiative led to a significant decrease in customer complaints, and bay availability improved by as much as 70%.

We've developed the S.O.S. Save Our Spaces Explanation Form that you can download by clicking on the 'CLICK IT OUT' button at the bottom of this page.

Print out some copies and keep them in your car to stick on the windscreen of an offender's car.

Now we want to see how many more Babyexpert users are prepared to stand up and be counted: add your name to our online by petition by going to the chat thread HERE and posting your support for the S.O.S. campaign.

The more of you that sign up, the more influence we have with supermarkets and shopping centres across the country. Our campaign is already making a real difference, with Asda and Sainsbury's both prepared to take on bay blockers and fine them. If you sign up you will ensure that your voice is added to the campaign and we can go on and influence more stores.
