  • Kelly Montagu stayed at Ginas Adventure Kinderhotel, Lake Faaker See, Austria with 2-year-old twins Kit and Natasha.

‘We booked budget flights from Stansted to Klagenfurt and transferred to the hotel, a half-hour drive away. Ginas is a Kinderhotel, which caters for babies and toddlers, so our suite included a seating area and children's bedroom, plus a kitchenette with fridge and bottle warmer. The bathroom had a potty, toilet insert and step stool. Cots, highchairs and bibs were also provided. Baby and toddler care is offered between five and eight hours a day with qualified child carers. There's also a ball pool, bouncy castle, cinema, swimming pools, park, cycle track, pets corner and ski school in winter.'

Best thing ‘The most child-friendly hotel ever, set in beautiful Alpine scenery.'

Worst thing: ‘Activity overload turned our children into whirling dervishes!'

    Rating *****

How much? A seven-night all-inclusive May-July summer package at Ginas costs £1000 for two adults and one child under 12 years. Flights and transfers are extra.
