  • Karen and Marc Kozlowski stayed at Siblu's Le Bois Dormant Holiday Park, Vendee, France, with Zak, 2, Joe, 5, and Sam, 15.

‘The 10-hour Brittany Ferries journey from Portsmouth to St Malo was comfortable and fun. From St Malo it's a three-hour drive to the park. Our mobile home felt safe and private but also let us and the children make friends with families next door. The accommodation was clean and the staff were friendly. The park has three swimming pools, including flumes and slides, football pitches, table tennis, mini golf and tennis courts. There are children's clubs, so parents can get a break. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-orientated and our only regret is that we were there for just one week instead of two!'

Best thing ‘Children who love swimming and paddling will love the water facilities.'

Worst thing: ‘Be prepared for a fairly long journey with the kids.'

    Rating *****
