  • Trying for a baby is the first step on an exciting journey. However, as there is only a one in four chance of getting pregnant each month, it can be stressful if it doesn't happen as quickly as you'd hoped.

Ovulation tests work by detecting the surge in luteinising hormone (LH) that triggers the ovary to release an egg, indicating your peak fertility days when you're most likely to conceive. The Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test* is the only digital ovulation test sold in the UK and shows the LH surge by displaying a smiley face symbol. This means that, unlike other home ovulation tests, there is no need to interpret lines to work out when you are at your most fertile.

Even more effective is the Clearblue Fertility Monitor, which has been shown in a recent study to nearly double the chance of conception. It detects the maximum number of fertile days each month - typically up to five days of high fertility as well as two peak days, extending the number of days when making love could get you pregnant.

Clearblue are looking for women who are trying to get pregnant to use its home fertility products. If you're interested in taking part simply click here to access the online form, and you could be selected to use a Clearblue Fertility Monitor or a Clearblue Digital Ovulation Kit for free.

The process is simple - if you're selected Clearblue will send you a sample product along with a diary to record your experiences - all to be done in the comfort of your own home.
