If you’re having problems conceiving, or simply want to get your body in the best shape before you start trying for a baby, acupuncture can be extremely effective.

Studies into the reasons for this are ongoing. But there are a number of benefits acupuncture is known to bring, including increasing blood flow to the uterus and helping regulate hormonal imbalances.

Acupuncture is ideal for treating men as well as women and it is recommended that both partners have a least an initial consultation when there are fertility concerns.

Lisa Barnwell (pictured) is a qualified aromatherapist and maternity reflexologist. She runs the Me & My Baby Therapy Rooms & Clinic in London, which specialises in treatments for women, before, during and after pregnancy.

Lisa and Acupuncturist, Lynda Mathewson, will be hosting a webchat for babyexpert.com on the subject of acupuncture and other complementary therapies which can help you when trying to conceive.

Join Lisa and Lynda on Monday November 3, 12-1pm on the Trying for a baby board where they will do their best to answer all your questions.
