I want to shout from the rooftops - but I can't.....

It's only the third day since getting a BFP! It has just been the weirdest..... I tested Tuesday morning at 0600 hrs, hubby was sound asleep in bed having no idea what I was planning. I had a "feeling" that I was, on Monday night I even dreamt testing positive........

When I dipped the stick the test line came up immediately and that was it, my heart sank and I was annoyed with myself that I had got so carried away, Then when I looked back at the test I could see a faint line appear that seemed to be getting darker.......... I really thought I was going to be sick, I don't know why, excitement, nerves I suppose.

I must have sat looking at it for about 10 minutes until I decided that I'd tell my OH. His reaction was subdued, I was a bit dissappointed, but he's not one to jump in the air I suppose, and I'd just woken him up.........

The horrible thing is not being able to tell anyone else, I know it's early and OH and I have decided we won't say anything till at least end of 1st trimester, after the scan but I can't stop smiling or thinking about.

Other than having really tender boobs and peeing more regularly (already?) I don't feel pregnant and I even did a second test yesterday to double check it wasn't a false positive.

Well, I popped a bottle of wanna be champers (it was fizzy grape juice!) and toasted our prospective bundle of joy.......... god it's gonna be a long 9 months isn't it? It seems to go so quick when it's someone else................

Well it's now week 6 and apparently you're the size of a lentil, although by the end of the week you'll be the size of a bean......... I'm going to tell the GP about you today, it's going to be weird telling someone else when nobody knows............ I just hope they believe me!!! xx

I want to shout from the rooftops - but I can't.....

I know exactly how your feeling. My xperience was exactly the same. I wanted my partner to be more excited but my mum says men don't usually get as excited as we do which is why I read blogs or speak to her so i can share my excitement. I am now 20 weeks pregnant and it feels like it's taken far too long to get here as I found out at 5 weeks but with all the appointments with the midwife and scans at this time it helps time pass and the scans are another thing to look forward to. My 20 week scan is in 3 days and i am so excited to find out the sex. Well Good Luck and when the baby arrives it will all be worth the wait x
