Eat your way to a better labour
  • Eat your way to a better labour

  • Three ways to eat your way to an easier labour.

For an easier labour, try making some simple changes to your diet:

1. Two weeks before you're due, add complex carbohydrates such as brown rice and oatcakes to your diet to boost your energy levels.

2. Raspberry leaf tea can help relax and tone up your uterus for labour. It's safe from 37 weeks, but don't have more than four cups a day.

3. During labour, drink diluted grape juice. It's a healthy source of fruit sugar that will keep your energy levels high.
