  • Lorraine gave birth to her bouncing boy naturally, with no tears or stitches.

Lorraine tells her story: 'It was during my final year of University when I became pregnant. I was studying a full-time Law degree to pursue my career as a barrister.

My baby was due on June 4th, which was right in the middle of my exam period. I hoped that the baby would be late!

The pregnancy itself was fine, apart from the common ailments such as anaemia, constant sickness and feeling extremely tired. My exams started when I was 39 weeks pregnant and finished when I was 41 weeks.

This was a very hard time as already having my daughter, 5-year-old Lucy, to look after I had to try and find time to study knowing I could go into labour at any time!

Luckily baby was 15 days late. I had to be induced and then after a seven-hour labour I gave birth to James Patrick who weighed in at an amazing 11lb 6oz!

I had a natural birth with no tears or stitches, I believe the secret to an easy birth is to keep quiet and calm.

Three weeks later, I graduated as I had passed my exams with the grades I needed to go to bar school.

James Patrick is now 15 weeks old, 19lb 5oz and 71cms tall! He is exclusively breastfed which is helping me get the weight off too, as already, I have lost 3 1/2 stone out of the 4 stone I put on during the pregnancy.'

It was like a scene from The Matrix!

Will I love my second baby as much?

Many parents worry they can't possibly love a second child as much as baby No 1....
