Mango and apricot puree
  • Mango and apricot puree

  • Vitamin-rich mangoes are a great early food for your baby.

Mangoes are rich in vitamin A and also contain good amounts of vitamins B and C as well as potassium, calcium and iron. Not only that, but they are delicious too!

Look out for money-off deals at your local market, puree following the instructions below, and freeze in cubes until you need them. Great mixed with natural yoghurt too for a low-sugar fruity pudding.

Mango and apricot puree
Suitable from 6 months

  • 1 ripe mango
  • 2 apricots
  • 4tbsp water
Peel mango and cut into cubes. Place in a pan with chopped, stoned apricots and cook gently for 5-10 minutes (until apricots are soft). Cool then whizz to a smooth puree with a blender.
