  • My husband is so moody

  • Q:I'm 14 weeks pregnant and since my husband and I found out, he has become really distant towards me. He won't talk about the baby and won't come near me, even for a cuddle. This was a planned baby, so what's wrong with him?

Psychotherapist Lesley says: Pregnancy brings huge emotional change. To you, your husband may seem unloving and insensitive, but to him, it may feel as though you've lost interest in everything except the coming baby, who is going to take all your attention away from him.

You need to be honest and talk to each other about your fears and show each other that you still love and care for one another.

It can be hard to admit to feeling insecure and sad at a time when couples think they are expected to be happy, but it is crucial to connect. Talking to other couples with babies might also help you see that you're not alone.
