  • Can I use fake tan while I'm pregnant?

  • Q: I want to top up my tan now I'm back from my holiday. is it safe to use fake tan when I'm pregnant?

A: Although there are no known dangers associated with using fake tans, they can sometimes cause an allergic reaction.

As pregnancy hormones can make your skin more sensitive than usual, if you are going to use fake tan, do a small patch test first to see if you have a reaction.

Some fake tan products do contain an SPF, but it's usually low, so use a high-protection sunscreen as well.
